Dr. Cook began her medical training at The George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. before coming to New Jersey for a general surgery residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark. There she published numerous research papers and even took first place in a national competition. She was recognized by her peers both for her skills as a surgeon and her ability as a teacher for medical students.
Dr. Cook’s easy and frank manner with patients has quickly earned her a reputation among peers and colleagues.
When she’s not in the hospital, Dr. Cook values spending quality time with her husband and two school-aged children. Residents of Bergen County, Dr. Cook and her family enjoy exploring the outdoors, hiking and discovering local adventures. They are particularly fond of our country’s national parks, pledging to visit as many of them as they can.
