Michael Wilderman MD, FACS, is the Chief of Endovascular Surgery at Hackensack University Medical Center. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery in both General Surgery and Vascular Surgery. Dr. Wilderman has been selected by Castle Connolly’s Top Doctors in 2015, 2016 and 2017. He was appointed an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Rutgers University and the site director for the combined Hackensack/Rutgers Vascular surgery fellowship. In addition, he was given the Resident Teaching Award in 2012 and 2013. Recently, he served on the curriculum planning committee for the new Seton Hall Hackensack-Meridian School of Medicine.
Dr. Wilderman completed his undergraduate degree, graduating with honors from the University of Pennsylvania. He then went on to receive his medical degree from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Wilderman is widely published and has given numerous regional and national invited lectures and presentations on Aortic Aneurysms, Aortic Dissections, and Peripheral Arterial Disease. He has served as principal investigator on many national clinical trials focusing on aortic aneurysms, aortic dissections, and aortic trauma.
Dr. Wilderman is married and has a wonderful son. In his spare time, he enjoys playing
tennis and golf, working out, traveling and reading.
